There is nothing more romantic than waltzing on the dance floor for your first dance while your friends and family look on admiring the way you and your partner fit in each other's arms and glide around the dance floor. The first dance together as husband and wife is one of the most watched events and if done right, one of the highlights of the wedding. The memory of the first dance will be with you always and you should arrange a video record of the event.
Don't forget, more than just the bride and groom can benefit from wedding dance lessons, you should consider the Father/Daughter dance and the Mother/Son Dance as well.
Often the song you have chosen for "your" dance does not fit with the dance you have in mind. I can change the timing or the length "fit."
I began ballroom dancing in 1988, after dancing Salsa for a time. Like many people; I was looking for something new to fill up a space in my live. I had been working in the technology industry for many years. The projects I contributed to and managed were interesting but, the field is quite boring. I am never bored when I dance, or when I teach, or work as an official at Dance Competitions. These days I mainly Scrutineer at these events but, I sometimes Emcee or perform other activities as required.
I have competed in International Standard, International Latin and American Smooth. I have trained with top coaches and Instructors in both the United States and England. I have relocated to Austin and look forward continuing to dance and help people in the wonderful world of dance.Read more

This area is for events that have been completed; You can find a little information on these events
Lessons can be booked at a variety of dance venues in Austin, Round Rock or Pflugerville. I enjoy working with all levels of dancers, beginner through advanced. Whether you are a social dancer, new to dance or a seasoned competitor, I would enjoy working with you to meet your dance goals. For the competitors, I attend a number of competitions each year and see what is "marked" and what is not. Like many other sports dancing has evolved, lead and follow are no longer enough..."Let's talk."

This is a new venture for me. But, after developing this website for myself. I felt there might be a need amongst other dancers. Currently, I only want to provide this service to dancers. I will develop the website to your specifications, provide routine maintenance (if desired), and arrange for hosting of the site. My fees for these services are competitive, and probably better than you can find on the open market. The hosting will be provided by Go Daddy.
Ballroom dance is about as far from computer design engineering as anything can be. I worked in the technology industries for many years. The field requires a great deal of specialized knowledge but, is not all that interesting. I took up the ballroom dance hobby in order to meet people; I had been doing martial arts (Aikido), which was/is awesome. But, I was looking to find something to meet people, not necessarily to hit them. I was recently divorced and really wanted to meet people of the opposite sex. After taking advantage of a free lesson at Arthur Murray’s, I was "hooked." Shortly thereafter, I was put into the teacher training program. I did hang up my dance shoes for a while…but, I’m back baby!!!.
